Carter B

Check out this picture of my friend Carter B Smith.  This was taken in the old KRE On Air Studio at the new California Historical Radio Society (CHRS) museum.  When I used to be responsible for the former KFRC 610 AM transmitter site, I would come over here to visit with the KRE/KBLX on air folks.  Notice the picture of Wolfman Jack sitting in the lower right hand corner of the studio window.  This room is where parts of Wolfman's radio station in American Graffiti were filmed.  Carter worked here many years ago and used to cue up 78 RPM records in this room.  For a few years after KRE/KBLX moved their studios to downtown San Francisco, I used to marvel at a sticker that was plastered on an old air conditioning duct with Carters name on it.  Great memories CB.
