Colorado 6-09

A great vacation trip to see Tracy, Mark and the grandkids  along with a side step to their Lake Granby Home.  Also, they had a few chores for me to help with during our stay.

First was the removal of a lean-to.  This ought to go pretty fast.

Right tool for the job I always say.  Let's just hook this chain onto the structure and secure the other end to the tractor.

One pull should do er.

There ya go!  She's down alright.  I think it took 5 seconds.

OK Garrett, now you clean up the mess for us.

Actually Garrett didn't help too much so Tracy helped us finish the job.

I know, let's check on the chickens.

These are 3 of them out of I think around 7 or so.   They should be laying eggs by the time you see this.

Back in the coop they go for a bite to eat.

These are their two latest outdoor cats.  That's Princes on the left and Skittle on the right.  They are both very friendly and will let you pick them up anytime.

Then on to the next chore.  These steel assemblies weigh a ton but we managed to get them up and installed without killing ourselves.  Tracy is holding the first one we were to install.

This is what the whole bit looked like when we got them up.  Several trips to the hardware store and tool rental place were required for the almost 2 day project.

Nice job Mark!

Batter up.  Garrett is on a little league team in Fort Collins.  He hit one out of the park that day.

Sitting down for a little rest.

After the game we had dinner at a local steak place.

Mark and Lily at the restaurant.

The next day we headed for Lake Granby up in the Colorado rocky mountains.  They have a 20 foot pontoon boat that is great fun.  We are headed out to get the boat at it's floating dock.

Ready to get on board for the trip today.

Underway with Mark at the helm.  I had my Garmin GPS receiver on board and clocked her at about 17 MPH.

We tied up here for some lunch.  There was no one on the little island here.  Very peaceful.

I got er now.  You know I am quite experienced at this boating stuff.

These feet of mine are an exhibit of a totally relaxing day out there.  The pictures don't do it much justice but the area and surroundings are very beautiful.
