Hall Of Fame Induction

On September 29th, I was greatly honored to be inducted into the 2009 Bay Area Radio Hall of Fame.  Eleven new members were inducted, this year marking the first time anyone from the Engineering world was included.  Needless to say it was a very special day for me. 

My presenter was Dave Sholin whom I have worked with at KFRC for years.

My turn to get up and give a little thank you spiel.

That's Kelly, Chris and Tracy with me.  Tracy and Mark did a surprise visit, flying out from Colorado just for the day.  When we were out in the entry area just before coming into the event room, a little voice came up to me, tapped me on the shoulder and said "Hi Daddy".  When I turned around there was Tracy and Mark.

Kent and George have worked with me for years.

Here's a couple of legendary radio folks.  Bob Safford was with KFRC in the news department back in the early 70's.  Don Mozley was with KCBS who also was inducted into the Hall of Fame as Legendary Station.

Joe Starkey who has done play by play announcing for many sports venues including the San Francisco 49ers.

Ed Baxter who anchors the morning news team on KGO.
