Mexico 2008

We took a cruise to the Mexican Riviera in celebration of our 40th wedding anniversary.  Had a great time aboard the Norwegian Sun.

Registration in San Francisco.

Just leaving the dock, and looking for that promised land with some sun.

Well, no sun yet.  Here's all we saw of the Golden Gate Bridge.

Arriving in Mazatlan.

Here we are down town Mazatlan.  Finally hit the sunshine.

In case we needed to pick up some wire and cable, here's the local equivalent of Orchard Supply Hardware.  The inventory was somewhat limited though.

Next stop Zihuatanejo/Ixtapa, on our way in to port via tender.

Pulling away from our ship.

Look, El Gato!

Here's some of the fine work of Mexico cable.  What a nightmare for someone to troubleshoot.

At our next port, we were greeted by our friends Dean and Deborah Goss.  They were our tour guides.

No fancy limo service here.  Hop on the local bus.

Here we are at the Paradise Village Resort.  What a cool place this turned out to be.

In that violent spray of water is me that you can't see.  This was a very fast running water slide.

Relaxing on the beach.

A great lunch with the Goss's and some of their family.

No bus ride back to the pier for us.  We took a cab back to the ship.  See ya next week, ehh!

Back at the ship in the Internet Cafe.

The Windjammer Bar, one of the many local watering holes on board.

Back in port and ready to go ashore in SF, they are still trying to feed us more.  That smoke you see in the background is from Angel Island.  When we arrived back home it was all ablaze.
