The Miss Chris is equipped with both VHF and UHF transceivers.
VHF is used for 2 meter operations and general scanning, while UHF is employed
for communications with other vessels along the waterway.

VHF transceiver below decks and remoted to the helm console.

UHF radio mounted in one of the storage compartments.

1/4 wave UHF antenna mounted on the aft running light.
The VHF antenna is mounted directly below this area and inverted.

Microphone mounted on the helm console just in front of the
motor speed control. This mic is used for VHF, UHF, Public Address in and
outside the vessel, Broadcast, and External Control of devices at home port such
as the dock light at shore. The Mic control and audio is switched at the
turret located on the helm console through an interface box below decks.
